Burlington/South Burlington/Winooski
Located in western Chittenden County, these three communities are the anchor of the county and are among the most populated areas of the state. They are home to endless ammenities, attractions, and activities.
Burlington
Also known as the Queen City, Burlington is the largest city in Vermont and is home to several colleges and the state's largest hospital, UVM Medical Center. The city enjoys easy access to I89 and is bordered by the neighboring towns of South Burlington, Colchester and the small city of Winooski.
Burlington boasts a pedestrian shooping center called Church Street that is home to many wonderful local shops and restaurants. Sitting on the shores of Lake Champlain, Burlington also enjoys a beautiful waterfront park and is the start of a bike path that runs north along the lake, up into Colchester and then into the Champlain Islands. Echo, the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, is a science center with a small aquarium that offers a fun space for everyone to enjoy. Echo also hosts private events.
Many parks and beaches are also found throughout Burlington, including Oakledge Park, North Beach, Leddy Park and Beach and the members only Burlington Surf Club. Vibrant neighborhoods are found throughout Burlington, from the bustling downtown district, to the art focused South end to the Old and New North Ends. The variety of parks, beaches, and other outdoor recreational activity in Burlington makes the city a great place for residents and visitors to enjoy.

There is a public bus station (downtown transit center) located West of the Church Street Marketplace. The AmTrak Vermonter train offers direct access to NYC, with the station located near the waterfront park in the downtown district of Burlington.

South Burlington
Sitting to the south and east of Burlington, South Burlington is the 3rd most populous town in Vermont. South Burlington is considered a principal city of the Burlington metropolitan area, as it is home to many restaurants, businesses, shops and amenities. South Burlington is also where the Burlington International Airport is located, the biggest airport in all of Vermont.
The town is well known for having a variety of neighborhoods, ranging from established condo and townhome communities, to popular single family home neighborhoods, and even some larger private properties in the outskirts of the town. South Burlington also has many parks and recreational areas for residents and visitors to enjoy. It is also home to one of Vermont's most prestigious golf courses, Vermont National, which an 18 hole golf course with beautiful views of the mountains.
The University Mall, the largest mall in Vermont, is located in South Burlington. There are also a variety of other shops and plazas in proximity to the U-Mall, making the metro area bustling and convenient for many shopping needs.

Winooski
Occupying just one square mile, Winooski is a smaller city the sits to the northeast of Burlington. It is anchored by a downtown circle lined with shops and eateries, including the well known Waterworks Restaurant, overlooking the Winooski River. The city has multiple small parks including Landry Park, Richards Park and Memorial Park.
Winooski is known for hosting events in the summer months, including concerts in the Rotary Park and the weekly farmers market, on Winooski Falls Way, near the Champlain Mill. The Community College of Vermont is located in Winooski, along with VSAC.
The infamous Champlain Mill still maintains much of its historic charm, and now consists of commerical and retail space. Winooski is located off I89 and is bordered by the neighboring city of Burlington, and the towns of Essex, Colchester and South Burlington. The city has been developed over the years and offers a variety of charming older housing and newer construction.
